BUJUMBURA, Burundi — Burundi is considering a possible role in an international security mission proposed for Gaza after a senior Burundian military delegation visited Israel for discussions last week.

The talks focused on the proposed force, which is intended to support stability following a fragile ceasefire in Gaza. A Burundian delegation participated in meetings with officials involved in planning the international mission.

However, Burundi has not yet finalized a decision to deploy troops. Officials involved in the discussions said the Burundian representatives expressed interest in the proposed mission.
