Libya is taking another step toward modernizing its business environment through a new initiative focused on creating a unified digital postal address system for companies.

The project was discussed during a meeting between Economy and Trade Minister Suhail Boushiha and Libya Post Chairman Sami Al-Sayeh, with both sides exploring ways to integrate digital postal addresses into commercial registry and company registration systems.

Under the proposal, every registered company would receive a certified digital postal address linked directly to its physical location. Officials believe this approach will improve the reliability of commercial records while enhancing the efficiency of economic and administrative services.

The initiative forms part of Libya's broader digital transformation strategy aimed at strengthening economic governance, improving business operations, and creating more accurate national commercial databases.

Experts say modern digital identification systems can help streamline company registration processes, support investment activity, and improve transparency across the business sector.

If implemented successfully, the project could become an important milestone in Libya's efforts to build a more connected, efficient, and technology-driven economy.
