KAMPALA — Uganda is accelerating strategic infrastructure development projects aimed at strengthening transportation networks, improving logistics systems, and supporting sustainable economic growth across the country.

Authorities are advancing investments in highway expansion, bridge construction, logistics corridors, and urban infrastructure designed to improve the movement of goods and passengers while strengthening links between major commercial centers and neighboring countries.

Economic analysts say modern infrastructure remains one of Uganda's strongest competitive advantages for attracting investment and supporting regional trade. Improved transport systems and logistics networks are expected to reduce supply chain costs, improve business efficiency, and stimulate industrial growth.

Government institutions are also encouraging public-private partnerships to accelerate development projects while creating employment opportunities across engineering, construction, transportation, and logistics sectors.

Business leaders believe expanded transport infrastructure will reinforce Uganda's position as a strategic gateway for trade within the East African region while supporting long-term economic diversification.

As modernization projects continue nationwide, Uganda is strengthening its commitment to sustainable infrastructure, investment promotion, and regional economic integration.
